Check to see if the LCD is showing an error message such as
High Temp,No file, memory is full, wrong paper size.If there is no error message check the interface cable connection on both the printer and pc. Almost all companies have a solution center such as: http://solutions.brother.com You can find it in your manual. Good Luck

The previous question is a good suggestion however, you may not be able to remove your print head without some printer disassembly.

It's always a good idea to tell us what make and model printer you have when posting problems. This helps people answering your question to give you a troubleshooting path to take.

If you replaced the ink cartridges, have you been using certified cartridges or remanufactured? Remanufactured cartridges eventually clog an ink-based printer.

Look in your user guide for a troubleshooting section. If you do not have the manual try the vendor's website.

The print heads are blocked, set in alcohol, over nite and pat dry next day with paper towel and try again, this happens sometimes when ink sets and drys ..sometimes have to get it loosened up.
