honestly Hanoi for the procuring. For a good bargins locate a vacationer (ex-vietnamese) that understand the northern accent to bypass procuring (in Hanoi) and be an ears dropper. once you're into that embroidered stuff (clothing, bag, and so on) then you may want to make a pit end at Hoi An (Ccentral Vietnam). it truly is a small city with quite some personality (Unesco international historic past web site- previous city). you'll get tailor made interior the subsequent day at good deal cost (save round). in case you adore procuring with a interest then ignore Hanoi and HCMC, Hoi An is the position and it no longer over crowded with vacationers and locals (nicely, i do not understand what's like now). savor your vacation life's like a journey, you by no skill understand till you get there.

It's hot, about 100, and humid, about 90%. If you travel between May and July, it's hotter and it rains like hell starting about 6 pm.

Of course, I haven't benn there since '63-'64 but the weather was about as bad as it gets. Hot, as in 110.

Note: we did not have air conditioning.

I am friends with a Vietnamese pharmacist, and ask her about Saigon. Too hot she says, I want my mother to come here, but she;s too old.
Ho Chi Minh city, is HOT and HUMID. And the monsoons don't help, they only make it more humid.

But the ao dos, the long silky Chinese type dresses over the pantalons are really sexy.
