Dirty socks were by far the strangest ornaments I've ever seen. One year, I had boys for roomates and we had no Christmas tree or anything. So they went out on a mission to "borrow" a tree. They chopped down a small tree from a nearby forest and brought it home. There was nothing to put on it so they put their dirty socks all throughout the tree. We also had two Crown Royal Christmas balls with the little liquer bottle in it. It was a beautiful tree but absolutely horribly decorated. I feel bad for the tree that could have grown so beautifully. It was a waste of tree, but they were amused by it. Small minds get amused easily. In West Vancouver, they have a display of all sorts of different Christmas trees every year. There is this one with Campbells soup cans on it, another with only candy, another with only cars on it and many more. Still, I think the socks beat the rest.

You, my dear, have apparently never been to South Louisiana at Christmas time! Think seafood gumbo: oyster shells, crawfish, mardi gras beads, and turtle shells. And when Christmas is over, they leave them up, take off the red stuff, replace it with purple and...TA DA...!! You have a Mardi-Gras Tree!!!!! OK...you see, we are an easily amused type of people....

Godloveya..and I loved the guestion! Blessed Holidays!

A dead tiger barb (fish). It jumped out of the fishtank and got stuck on the tree. Seriously.
