I have asked several questions about certain races, and I always have some people who get mad. I'm not sure why, since I'm not trying to be derogatory. I simply want to know. Are they that sensitive?

they must be. i have tons of questions about certain races. its only because i want to know. i'm mexican and they haven't given me any greif. if you are white and you are asking a black person then they may take it the wrong way. don't ask me why, they just do. its pretty stupid if you ask me. it won't hurt me if anybody asked me about my race. some people are just sensitive. so if they do act that way then just tell them to chill and that you are just interested in knowing.

In my opinion, yes, some people are sensitive about being asked about there race, or questions toward them.

I say lighten up, dont always think in a negative aspect when it comes to race. But you can't change how people think and the way they act towards race.

Put it this way, no matter how much we try to get it through to them that we are only asking in a curious way, people will take it as you being racist.

I see where you are coming from. I am a latina, and some of my family members seem to be over sensitive when someone mentions our race. We can never truly fix that.

Some people, especially on these boards...simply love to dish it out but can't take it. You can ask an honest question truly seeking knowledge and they'll get all offended, yet leave something horrible and offensive for someone else.

Hypocrisy is alive and well here. One poster turned into a stalker who made me laugh because he was mad that I called him out for being rude to a poster who was genuinely concerned that her baby might be dying...he was more interested in leaving a stupid response (that he thought was funny, and wasn't even close) over helping someone out.

Some people are just crazy. And sad.

People are always sensitive, especially if they are that race. They just might take it the wrong way, try wording ur questions better or try telling them that u don't mean it in a bad way when u ask a question like that.

I have not read any of your questions so I can not speak from experience, but there is as tasteful and respectful way to ask anyone almost anything. Maybe you should think about the questions you are about to ask, think about if it was ask to you by a different race would you be offended, and try to be respectful. That's just what I would do.

Because some people have this crazy idea that being equal means being the same.

I agree with you. It come to the point that if the Chinese attacked us then we couldnt stop them because some may think we were being racist and anti-chinese.

A six foot ten white Scandanavian (not uncommon) next to a 4 foot black pygmy. No difference whatsoever right?

I could be the way you phrase your questions.

I take the time these days to check what questions people have asked in the past and how they ask them rather than assume the are racist.

Liberals are WAY oversensitive. Heaven forbid should you ask about someone of "colour"....or ask why an atheist doesn't believe in God, or wonder why REAL Africans are killing each other. I say liberals because they are the ones that have ruined Christmas, ruined recess at school, ruined driving, hunting, playing simple games, funny "racist" jokes, flirting at work (harmless flirting), made it harder for women to be accepted, (due to the "sensitivity" of normal joking around and guys are too afraid to say anything) and have ruined normal day to day fun activities. Well, NOT for me, as I go about telling "racist" jokes, flirt at work, go hunting, buy firearms, ask about different cultures, not to just "feel their pain", but to try to truly understand and appreciate their way of life.

I think you are a racist and are hiding behind an "honest question". It is time
for people to leave behind the limited views of our ancestors. The world is
getting smaller and we need to get smarter. Marking differences between
races is not helping with all the problems in the world. We should be looking
for similarities...we are all brothers and sisters regardless of how you look
at it. We all share one world and we need to live with each other. We should
be thinking about peace.....not stupid racist questions.

i don't think of you're racist. i think of in case you have been brushing off an entire race of folk as unattractive because of colour of their dermis; it would be racist. some people who try this are consciously racist, and others have racist ideologies nonetheless ingrained in them from their upbringing, without understanding it. in case you in undemanding terms do not locate this actual guy beautiful, and he basically occurs to be black, then no, i don't unavoidably think of it is racist. I do, even though if, think of that him harping on you, and turning your valid rationalization for not wanting to circulate out with him right into a race difficulty makes HIM racist. Genetic examine have shown that the chemical components in our brains tend to be interested in people whose genes are such as ours, yet diverse sufficient so as that while we combine our genetic ideas via having toddlers, there is sufficient selection to confirm the youngsters have stable immune structures. So biologically, there's a reason we are interested in the folk we are interested in, and there is not something incorrect with that, nor might desire to we modify it, even though if we would have enjoyed to. attraction (or lack thereof) it is heavily inspired via cultural or societal pressures, however, may well be something that bears thinking approximately extra deeply. In a feeling of right and incorrect, there is fairly not something incorrect with liking somebody of yet another ethnicity, and there should not be something battling us from pursuing such relationships, could we would prefer to. yet that doesn't recommend which you're able to experience in charge for not being biologically interested in somebody, basically because of the fact we are residing in a usa with an unlucky racist history. now and lower back we basically might desire to permit circulate of our countless carry close-united statesand prejudices and permit nature take its course. And that works the two approaches.
