Most US banks I found would not exchange my currency when I was visiting the USA from Canada. You should plan ahead and exchange at your own bank before you go, or pay the huge fees at a money exchange shop.

No-- but you can phone them and they'll answer yes or no-- my experience has been the larger banks will--
