Your mucus plug is usually tinged with blood, but the farther you are in pregnancy, the more discharge you have. Towards the end, you may have a lot of discharge. Usually it is clear and has no detectable smell. If it is watery, or you feel a trickle or gush from your vagina, you need to go to labor and delivery at the hospital. If you feel you need to be checked, don't hesitate to go the labor and delivery. They are used to this and can tell you in a matter of minutes if there is a problem, or if you are leaking. If your doctor doesn't check you, go to the hospital. You should be getting checked at every appointment starting this week.
Pressure is normal at this point in pregnancy. It's the baby setteling lower in your pelvis, or dropping as some people say. That doesn't mean that you will have the baby soon, it just means that the baby is getting into position for delivery. I understand how uncomfortable it is, but at this point, it's normal.

It's not uncommon to notice different pains later in pregnancy, because your baby is dropping deeper into your pelvis and the pressure can pinch nerves and cause pain. Not to offend your doctor, but s/he sounds like a jerk if s/he's blowing you off like that. You should have had a strep b test by 36 weeks anyway, so it wouldn't have been anything extra for her/him to check for fluid. It's probably nothing, but it could just settle your mind to know. Everyone's right, the mucous plug is usually pink or reddish, and some women don't even notice when they lose it. As for the waters leaking, it probably isn't your waters but indeed is urine. Call your doctor again and demand s/he check you if you're still worried. You're paying him, s/he should do her/his job!

Hi hun. I am a nurse and have some suggestions. First of all if it was your mucus plug there would have been some blood involved. Yes, you could have a slow leak of your water sack but a lot of time has gone by. If this doctor won't check you then go to the ER. This should be taken care of immediately! You will be okay but something is going on and you need a new doctor. Good Luck and congradulations on the new baby!

This seems like braxton hicks. They are sporadic contractions of the uterus that arise during being pregnant. They may also be felt as a tightening or hardening on the entrance of the stomach that lasts for a minute or so and are in most cases spotted mid being pregnant even though for lots of they start at roughly 6 weeks. Unlike 'truly' labour contractions, Braxton Hicks have a tendency to be abnormal in incidence and length and even though they may be able to expand in frequency and grow to be uncomfortable for the duration of the last weeks of being pregnant they have a tendency to vanish really speedily. They are in general caused when you have been very lively or were in your toes for an extended at the same time so whatever as realistic as sitting down and enjoyable can aid, many uncover a hot tub soothing too. Braxton Hicks may also be precipitated whilst any one touches your belly or when you have an overly complete bladder. Although they may be able to be uncomfortable Braxton Hicks reward you with the excellent possibility to train the respiring approaches and leisure sports you propose to make use of in labour in order that you particularly are ready whilst your youngster comes to a decision to reach. They are not anything to fear approximately. Very natural infact. Good success xxx

If you call doctor and say "i'm leaking clear fluid, I thinnk my water may be leaking" you will get a different response: a speculum exam and testing of the vaginal secretions to see if there is any amniotic fluid present.
There is an increase in vaginal secretions as uterine activity increases getting ready for labor, and "slimy sometimes" sounds like mucous. Urine can be clear if very dilute. Getting checked will either spot a problem early if there, or releave your mind.

Usually when your water breaks you would have a slow constant leak. I have also had 3 kids and with my 2nd one, my dr stripped my membranes and I lost my mucus plug immediately after. It was a chunk of whitish pinkish material - gross actually. LOL I remember having pain with my 2nd pregnancy too - in my vagina and my dr found that I had varicose veins that went inside. Ouch!! They were like a bag of grapes he said. Anyways, if you are still worried - it wouldn't hurt to make an appt with your dr and get an internal done. Good luck! :)
