Why do you care? This is the justice system that Lennon would have wanted. No death penalty, short sentences, and forgiveness for all. The hippie ideal.
What about Hinkley? Should he get out? Where was your question then?
What about Mehmet All Agca? Should he be free?
PS. I got John Lennon's autograph on my 8-track of the white album, 3 days before he was shot, and just to let you know, he was very rude. Paul, George, and Ringo didn't have as much of a pompous attitude.

According to web reports. Chapman is still in Atica prison for killing John Lennon, as far as his release is left up to the Courts and probate officers.

that sure was a sick thing to do...he killed someone who stood for so many good things, and interests were in helping people...but in all honesty not trying to sounds ike a crazy conspiracy nut but you really have to consider the possiblity that the government had something to do w/ it, they were tapping his phone lines and tracking him at the time of the murder
