I wondered about this as well! Moved out to Dubai from the UK earlier this year and was surprised to see Muslim women (in their Hijab) shopping in La Senza, Agent Provocateur etc!
The question is do they wear anything between their thong and the Hijab???

I'm American, but Native American (this is pretty much where we're from unless you factor in the Bering Strait theory.) But to answer your question, no. The hijab is the headscarf only, whereas the robes are generally a flowing cut known as a jilbaab. Maybe under the jilbaab and/or abaya (the longer, usually black outer robe commonly seen in some parts), it all depends on the woman's preferences.
They have some very nice shops in Dubai from what I hear. Beautiful gold jewelry too!

muslim women that choose to cover there bodies can wear whatever they want under their covering, so yes muslim woman can and I'm sure a lot do wear thongs.

lol the hijab is just a headscarf so I doubt it! If you mean the burqa, then yeah I'm sure it happens, the ladies are encouraged to look as good as possible for their men..! Especially in middle eastern countries where the weather is really hot, most of them wear bikinis underneath..!
