Mail your headshot/résumé to the Talent Agency.

If the Talent Agent is interested in you, from your résumé and headshot, you will get a phone call. If they are not interested, they will NOT contact you.

A typical agent may handle up to 50 clients, so they are very busy. Mail a resume and headshot, followed by a postcard 2 weeks after. You should have a fair amount of credits as well as studio classes on your resume before you seek an agent though, and the best way to get an agent is to target casting directors with your mailings, especially if you know they are currently casting your type. Also, a hint: DO NOT send your resume and headshot in a brown envelope..........pay a little more and get the ones that have a clear window on them. That way they dont have to open it to see your headshot. It seems to work well, from what I hear.
