My daugther who is now 21 was with a guy who was a drug dealer( small time meth creep) and he went to jail for 6 months but before he did go to jail he assaulted her and hurt her pretty bad. That added another 2 months on to his time.He is out of jail now and she is with him again. She had abandoned a good job offer to go back with him. I am having a tough time accepting this. Any suggestions in how to handle this?

that's tough, because she is at a legal age. all you can do is talk to her and let her know he will ruin her life. hopefully she will see that she can do better and get away from him.

I am truely sorry to hear what is going on with your daughter. The problem is there is nothing u can do but give your daughter advise. When u give it make sure u and her aren't mad.Otherwise she won't listen. Sometimes people have to learn the real hard way. They see nothing but how much they love him. It's like they are blinded to the truth. The more u get on her about it the more distance u will bring between u two.So the only advise I can give u is do alot of praying and wish she comes to her sences. Good luck Okay he'll end up back in jail again and when he does find some good looking guys to date her.

Well, to start be patient and hope that she'll open her eyes and realize that he is a not the right kind of "boy" for her. If she doesn't come around soon, then just make sure she knows that you are there when she needs you. Don't try to talk her out of this relationship because the chances are it will just cause more of a drift between you two. When she comes crying to you just listen (which I know can be hard) and let her get it out. Sooner or later she'll come around. If you can't tell I'm talking from experience, I used to have a bad boy boyfriend and when I finally grew up I knew who I could go to, MY MOTHER.

give us more info: like where's her mamma...talk to her mom and try to solve this matter the three of you. If not, find some relatives from her mother side and try again...unfortunately there are some girls who like this type of guys....and she's 21 (not much for you to do legally speaking).... she should have known better by now......for how long her mother has not been in her life? I feel very sorry for her, and really hate to walk in your shoes.....hope for the best for her and you!
