I like the natural look alot. Nearly all the bollywood actresses have the same long brown/black straight hair, lot of foundation to make them appear lighter, thick eyelashes and eyeliner. Some of them do have nice features but is so much make up necessary? Before you go on about aishwarya rai who is a boring, she looks really fake. No i dont think she is the most beautiful woman in the world so dont come out with that bull. I do think Bipasha and mahima are pretty but they too fall into the bollywood superficial trap.
I know some hollywood celebs wear alot but it aint as bad as bollywood. I seen a pic of Adriana lima without makeup, she looks human and decent and a lot prettier with make up.

In Indian society, pretty is pretty. Natural beauty is not taken too seriously.

Actresses and actors are no more than fantasies and have to look perfect all the time, their fans depend on it...to keep the fantasy alive. If they didn't wear all the false eyelashes, and wigs and get collagen and face and tummy tucks, and botox and whatever else they need to do to make lots of money and movies...where would they be?? Unfortunately, they are seen first for their looks, not their talents.

Not all celebs wear a lot of makeup, but they get payed to look good, and if wearing a lot of makeup will make them look good then that's what they have to do. Plus if you had paparazzi following you everywhere, you would probably wear a lot of makeup too.

Isnt it a culture thing? i have seen some of those movies too and i dont really care for make up but i enjoy the dancing and the dresses, hey! maybe thats it, the dresses are so awsome and colorfull that the faces cant be wash out and thats why they put so much make up to stand up on a dress. I dont know!

They wear a lot of make-up because no offence to them but they want to appear to be georgeous. MOST of them are not. I have seen pics of them without makeup too, and they look baggy and pale and wierd. Gross. Blah. They just want to look cool.
