What about the hot air coming out of Washington DC these days? That could, if harnessed, supply enough energy to make us independent of foreign oil sources.

This surprises you. Most of the "science" out there is junk, unless it proves that capitalism, the US, and Republicans are evil. Then it is paraded in the streets like the Pope.
