If you don't intend to go out of central London get a travelcard
They don't sell ones for 4 days so you will have to get a 3 day and a one day. You can buy them both at the same time so you won't have to queue twice.
3 day (Zones 1-2) £15.40
1 Day (after 9:30) £4.90 (all day) £6.20
This will get you on all buses and tubes in central London

These are the fares for 2006, they go up on 1st January

Get an Oyster Pre-pay card, it will be cheaper than a Travelcard; the Travelcard is only worthwhile if you are thinking of going to somewhere on the outskirts of London by overground train. Details on the same TFL site as shown above.

buy a travelcard which lets you do both, but i suggest that you use a underground pass for zones 1-6,gets you around london much quicker then buses, and they come more often every 2-5 mintues......
