The easiest way to do this is by using System Restore.
Start>>All Programs>>Accessories>>System Tools>>System Restore
Choose a restore point prior to downloading or installing IE7 and you're all set!
After you do that; download Mozilla Firefox. It does everything IE7 does and does it better.

To remove IE7, go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Select Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and uninstall it. Thereafter start using Firefox or Opera. Opera is better than Firefox as well as stable.

I don't like it either. Before you do this download a second browser like mozilla firefox or netscape. Good to have a second browser on hand anyway, helps with troubleshooting if nothing else. Make sure it works (you can browse the web). Remove Internet Explorer 7 Start, control panel, add/remove programs. I think you will find it as a program not a windows componet. Click on it follow instructions to remove.
Using the windows disk that came with your computer re-install ie6 ... start-control panel-add/remove programs-windows componet check the "e" symbol for explorer or visit microsoft http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/downloads/critical/ie6sp1/default.mspx

until you recognize what you're doing and are conscious of the Microsoft classes, you will terrific pass away the classes on my own. in case you delete a application which you think of you do not use, it ought to in all likelihood be a element of yet another application which you do use, and you are going to be able to render your working equipment ( laptop ) ineffective. you are going to be waiting to have administration over which classes run on the startup, and this might speed up your laptop some. You did not say what your processors length is or how lots RAM is put in which all make a distinction in working speed. Run a defrag and make specific your trash bin is empty. be sure you have your equipment restoration disks reachable in case you come to a call to get rid of classes you at the instant are not conscious of. make specific all your significant data are backed up too, because of the fact in case you could carry out a equipment restoration to get your laptop working returned, each thing on the complicated force will return to the situation it became into while new. you will could re-deploy all data and utility. good success in regardless of you come to a call.
