Is EnergyStar a non profit or profit gov agency?

I feel that if someone else was so behind global warming than maybe I would believe it completely. Al Gore does not give me a good feeling. I just had a thought that maybe he has money in Energystar. The Earth has a natural cycle, it's just we are doing things to rush it.

It's a certification sponsored by the EPA, and thus a governmental program.
