Probably from having such an intense orgasm, but I don't know the technical reason behind it. Sorry, I guess I'm no help.

I have a good friend who's legs shake pretty much throughout.
i.e. through the kissing stage (if we're standing up) she'll notice that her legs 'feel like jelly' her words not mine.

i think it's all to do with the blood. yes, the muscles you use are a part of it but even non strenuous sex can produce this in my experience, and i've noticed how the blood rushes up a girl's back to the facial areas. that wouldn't have been my first thought of where it should go, but several times i've seen the blood rush to higher parts of the back even if i'm doing all the work. this must obviously leave the legs feeling bloodless and weak of course.

the interesting thing is that although our legs can get weaker for a short time during orgasm, the same described reaction doesn't happen to that extent in guys (or for me anyway) is it girls that are supposed to have better orgasms than guys or the other way round? what do the scientists say about who's feeling it better?

The reason your legs shake sometimes your body shakes as well after or during sex is orgasim is "The peak of sexual excitement, characterized by strong feelings of pleasure and by a series of involuntary contractions of the muscles of the genitals". Your Muscles were tighting and loosening thoughout your body at a rapid pace that your body needs to take time to get caught up.

OK the first thing the body does when your turned on is realease a ton of Adrenaline to get you ready for the long night ahead.
it releases even more when your having sex.
The reason you feel pleasure during sex is when you orgasm your body releases endorphines the bodys nateral painkiller, which has a similar effect to heroin.
the mixture of these two chemicals and other chemicals with it make your legs shake, its also the reason your eyes go blurry if you've had a particulary good orgasm, infact if the orgasms good enough you good hallucinate.

You might not realize that your legs were locked up during the intense physical pleasure. The pleasure might have been a big enough distraction to not realize you were: locking your legs, clawing his back, yelling, "Be my daddy!", etc.

You need to strengthen your thighs. Do 3 sets of squats an hour before sex.

Mine do the same thing, it's just part of the orgasm and the overall experience.

Because it was good...because your muscles were working and when all the big "O" chemicals shoot through your body, it can cause muscle contractions and trembling...
