I have had to re-Install my Windows XP Professional operating system but since then two of my USBs refuse to work. Now, if I for example I want to use the printer I need to discconect for example the joystick. Before this trouvble, all 4 USBs were OK. Any ideas what the problem is ? What is more puzzling for me is that the joystick for example sometimes works and sometimes does not. Please help !!!!!!!! THANKS.

Sincere thanks to the four people who tried to help. You have !!! I sort of did EVERYTHING you four friends suggested and it worked. (1) I noticed that there were in fact IRQs conflicts therefore (2) IRE-installed Windows XP and that solved the IRQ problem AND (3) I bought the 'splitter' that all of you suggested and now I have my four original USBs back and working AND an additional 10, yes, TEN additional USBs. Ah well... happy again and thst is what matters.... thank you all sincerely.

the problem could be that the usb connections are broken. If at least one usb connection is working what you can do is buy a 4 way hub what that does is by using one usb connection it gets split into 4 usb connections using one port. I hope this can somehow help you solve your problem

Reinstall the SP2 of Win XP. The problem should get resolved. If it doesnot, your USB connectors are damaged. Buy a USB splitter to connect more than one device simultaneously. Its pretty cheap.
