well alcoholics anonymous,is the best way for him, cause it will only escalate into something worse later on,the hardest part will trying to get him to admit it is a problem.for you its better to go to alanon(which is for people who live with an alcoholic)they will teach you how not to be an enabler and to realize what you can do to deal with the situations you are facing in real life terms. If hes willing to go to a treatment center(usaully @ $3000.00) and most insurance companies will pay for it,he'd get more of an education than what A/A will do

I coped with one for 20 years. I tip-toed around when he was drunk so he didn't explode and yell at the kids or me. When he wasn't drunk he would sit and stare at the TV all night, but at least he did speak to the kids once in a while.

He always denied being an alcoholic. He still does to this day, but at least he has cut back on his drinking a little. He has a new wife who likes to drink with him, so they get along fine.

You have a long, hard road ahead of you if you want to repair your marriage. Start with Alchoholics Anoynomus. You need to give your husband an ultimatum...get better or you're gone. Don't go down with the ship.
