Solve the exponential equation.

How do I do this? Please help me!!!

=> x + 8 = ln3 ( log base e of 3)
=> x = ln3 - 8

e^(x+8) = 3 take ln of each side
x+8=ln 3 subtract 8 from each side
x=ln 3 -8=-6.901

e^(x+8) = 3
ln( e^(x+8) )= ln(3 )
x+8 = ln3
x=-8+ln3 .
