I like white lights on houses because it looks more elegant but I like colored lights on Christmas trees. The only thing I really hate is when people mix the lights outside. Like if they have white, blue, and colored lights all over their yard. That is a little tacky.

None on the house, tree is white with colored lights and bright colored ornaments; gold and iridescent white bead chains. I just like color. No other reason. Kodak makes the most brilliant colored lights, but they look funny on my white tree, so I had to buy a lesser brand, with white cords.

I put colored lights on my tree because thats what I had here and
I got tangled up in them at least 3 times, next year its going to be
a prelit tree for sure. I do not have alot of electrical outlets to the
outside so I decorate only inside and put a wreath up on the door.

I use blue outside because it's a nice color and it doesn't look rediculously tacky. White on the inside because my decorations are colored and the white lights bring the colors out.

House and Tree--color!! I love the colored lights, they are so pretty and twinkly. White lights are elegant, but boring.
