I work, read, play with my dog, volunteer at the women's crisis center, donate blood, work on the United Way campaign, read, run, swim, read, sail, travel, read, go to distant lands, take a night course in art, history or a foreign language and go to museums. Visit friends, go to a concert, go to the amusement park, walk, ski, scuba, ride my horse, hike, camp, hunt, target practice, sing, play the piano, guitar and uke, go to the library, go to church, bake pies, bake cookies, garden, watch old movies, do crosswords, support the Disabled Vets, etc.........
I Don't waste my time standing on a street corner (only in good weather) holding a sign protesting, I don't waste my time in a movie theater, I don't waste my time spewing hatred to my country or dishonoring our military, I don't waste my time hating, being angry, spewing tripe and following verbatim the media. I would NEVER waste a moment of my precious life here on Earth whining and complaining and being miserable. I'm GLAD I'm not a Liberal or Democrat, they are the most unhappy folks I've ever come across.

Why are you stereo typing them this way? They don't just listen to Rush in their spare time. They also read books written by Rush and about Rush. They also listen to Hannity and read books by and about him. Same with Coulter, Beck, and other assorted right winged bloggers. They also spend a great deal of time informing themselves watching the fair and balanced FOX. They are very busy informing themselves. Shame on you for thinking otherwise.

I ride my bicycle to work and back during the week. I cook, sew, take care of my disabled hubby. And I never listen to Rush.
Oh, and we travel and often take rides to the wine country.

Opinionated, yes. Incompetent ? By whose standards ? Yours ? And what qualifies you or your opinion relating to politics ? I find him funny and informative. If you listened, you would know his political preference is conservatism, and not Republicanism. He carries water for no Republican. He is his own man.
