boxers and briefs were designed 'originally' for men, who stand while they pee. they unzip their jeans (or whatever outer pants they are wearing) but still need easy access to their penis so they can pee. soooooooooo.. the boxers or briefs allowed this easy access for them. ;)
now... if we could only find an easy way for them to actually hit the toilet everytime they pee, we'd have it made! hehe..

its put there so when you have a nice shirt tucked in or something, and a belt on, you don't have to undo everything you just, unzip and use the hole when nature calls, we men are impatient and lazy
