Whatever happened to actors in Savanna Smiles?

I have heard many rumors the the actress who played Savanna has died. Also heard two of the actors were involved in the actual incident on which the movie was based. Wonder what is happening to the people that made this wonderful movie.

Bridgette Anderson, who played Savannah, died in 1997 at age 21 of an accidental drug/alcohol overdose.

She did die. Bridgette Anderson died of a drug overdose May 18 1997.
