Hi guys,

I have been a bit of an idiot with a female friend of mine. Well she is quite sensitive and I have pissed her off on two occasions. Well what happened was that on the first occasion I was dropping her off home and she said she was feeling tired so I said to her “well if you fall asleep you’ll only fall in my arms” and she got really pissed off and gave me a bollocking. So I apologised and said to her it will never happen again.

But it did on my Birthday I asked her to give me a peck on the cheek and she went mental. I’m single so is she but now it’s been a few days she isn’t talking to me. I do see her as a friend but at times I go over the top. But I txt her the other day and apologised and said that I have had a good think and regret what I said and it wont happen again. But she replied saying you said that the first time but it happened. What can I say to her she’s a good friend that I don’t want to lose. Any ideas guys???

Thanx

well if my mate asked me to give them a peck on the cheek it would be fine and ive gt a bf who dont mind like, a peck on the cheek doesnt mean anything if your friend it just means yuor close friends and if you want to get he bk talking to you the only thing to do is buy her some chocolates and a apologie card and say in the card that you bough the suff because you think she is a great mate and you dont want to lose your friendship xx hope this sorts out your problem

First, stop doing twatty things. She doesn't fancy you so forget it. Secondly, she sounds like a right uppity cow. Tell her to lighten up a bit, you've not done any real harm, its all a bit school kiddy to get a cob-on about it. If she can't act like a grown up, she might not be worth the effort. And don't keep crawling and apologising. And don't let people bollock you, you made a mistake and apologised, she ought to be an adult about it.

Wow! That girl is uptight! I don't think you said anything over the top at all. My friends and I say stuff like that all the time! I think you've apologised enough now. And she must be a bit up her own backside to think you are hitting on her all the time! Make it clear she's only a friend and that you like your girlfriends a bit more easy-going! (I hope for your sake that you do!)

ok understand she's a friend but whoa! that aint sensitive, thats neurotic! a peck on the cheek and she went mental? it was ya birthday!! you dint ask to do her up the bum did ya? the way friends work is you feel free to say anything around them. she clearly isnt on your level. i know you dont wanna hear that but its true. she's blown this out of all proportion. she needs to get a grip. it takes two for a friendship to work and it sounds like you just aint right. no matter how much you wanna be. it doesnt sound like you went over the top at all.

She sounds a little strange....are you sure that's all you did? WHy would you want to have a friend like that in your life, where you have to worry all the time about what you say and how she'll take it? I mean, as long as you werent' really crude and a pervert, she sounds like she has the problem. I would think about finding someone else to hang out with.

I dont understand on either occasion how you could have possibly pissed her off! Really what is wrong with her? Maybe she is a depressive either that or she fancies you and is pissed off that you haven't made a move on her. I just dont get it at all!

I don't see anything wrong in a friend giving you a peck on the cheek. It seems to me that she has the problem.

Over-reacting a bit isn't she? Send her a bunch of flowers or chocs or something and and say sorry again - what else can you do? tell her she's reading too much into it & she needs to lighten up

Well I don't get why she gets so mad, I'm like that all the time and I have a boyfriend, I just am a flirty person. And it sounds to me like you are too. Just tell her you are just having a good time and you don't like her. You just act that way when having a good time.

hmm maybe she does only genuinely see u as a m8, take her too 1 side and tell her u are only messing, and that u aren't chasing her!! OR maybe she does fancy U, and thinks u are taking the P out of her??
