i am trying to have a baby but i dont know if he is able to have kids have any of you had to get checked by a doc and how much did it cost? he has ona kid that is 6 years old but im afrade maybe drugs our what is stoping us could it be?

Well, if he is currently taking drugs, then I would advise you not to have a baby with him, regardless of whether or not he is able to conceive.

Most Gynecologist offices offer sperm count test. Some insurance companies will pay others won't. This is something you will have to decide on. The other issue is if he is doing drugs, you don't want a baby with him anyway. The drugs can cause really bad birth defects. In the long run that would cost you much more than a sperm count. The drugs may also cause him to have a low count. If you both are serious about having a baby, tell him it's either drugs or you. If he stops drugs then you will probably see a big difference with everything. GOOD LUCK
