Failed to study French history.
Wasted too many men and supplies trying to invade Russia during winter. Napoleon tried to do the same thing about a hundred or so years prior and it was the start of his down fall. If Germany was smart they would have learned from Napoleon's mistake, bulit up their defenses during the winter and wait for the Russians to come to them. Good thing they weren't so smart.

i think it would have to be their defense and Gk, Lehmann is good, but he is nothing compared to Kahn..
also Mertesacher and Huth are both very young, and metzelder will be retiring soon, wo we have to keep faith in Lahm

Whu does have a point, We have the best record for penalty shootouts.. never lost one in the world cup and best percentage of penalties made, but we seem to fall apart during extra time

Lehmann is Excellent, their defense is not "perfect" but has improved a lot, in the midfield and upfront they are fantastic, their only slight problem is the defence, but that can be fixed, WONDERFUL TEAM! they play total football!
