Homemade gifts are nice and thoughtful, but nobody likes getting a poorly made gift. If you buy an expensive gift, however, make sure that it is from the heart. If the expensive gift is from the heart, I feel that it is the way to go.

I'll choose the home made gift. It means the person took the time to know me, and what would appeal. They also took their valuable time to make me something that will mean a whole lot more than just running to the store and plunking down some cash.

well, at my age, i'll be frank ...i prefer expensive bought gift over the homemade one, maybe if i am retired and and living a serene life, a homemade will difinitely melts my heart....
but its the sincerity of the giver really counts
