why would someone go on "survivor"? i need reasons other than:
money, celebrity status, to escape, to prove they're the toughest, a bet or dare, the experience... plz plz plz

The adventure of it all. And to win the money isn't a bad reason. You would have a 1 in 16 (?) chance of winning? Not bad paycheck for a few weeks of dis-comfort.
I'd rather play than watch.

Just so you know that show is completely fake. I know this cause my dad filmed a t.v show about him which i was in and the guy who worked the camera had also worked survivor (and amazing race) and he said that the only real part of survivor is that they are on the island and they do the challenges. All the parts about them having to survive in the wilderness are fake. Although its still entertaining. Anyways i remeber when i watched the show before i found out it was fake one of the contestantsmarried one of the other contestants and one of hte 2 actually won and they split the money when they got married. other than that you have all of the reasons covered.

well to me it seems the people who do go on forget what happend on the last survivor; such as making asses out of them selves, and being made a ***, maybe some want a showmance no clue. I would go to loose weight LOL. Could be that they might not ever get the oppurtunity to go to a interesting place. Meet new peolpe from all over.. But they have to know that what they see on tv is usually what they get on reality TV.
