He's a goldfish. He's in a ten gallon fish tank. He used to have ick but i cured that with medicine.I clean his fistank regulary and I feed him once or twice a day just a really small pinch. I've always fed him the right food that is right for goldfish. And i always keep the water the same temperature

red veins on his fins definitely signal a bacterial infection. This is a water condition, and if he is losing his colour i would immediately do a 50%water change. The condition he has i be live is septicaemia. A broad spectum antibiotic will help. erythromycin, tetracycline. I have had lots of luck with tetracycline fish food(you dont ruin your biologic system this way. one and a half years is not long for a fish. Check your filter, does it need cleaning? Do not feed heavily after the water change. Hopefully u use a gravel cleaner. Also I hate undergravel filters, so i hope you have a power or canister filter!Undergravel accumulate huge waste quantities. In a nutshell....50% water change, small feedings, antibiotic. My diagnosis is ammonia poisoning with bacterial septicimia. Its treatable

Don't give up! It's surprising how much help there is out there for out beloved fishies.
The red streaks in the fins were described under septicemia
"Septicemia
Symptoms: Redness on body, blood streaks on skin and fins, inflamed blood vessels, hemorrhaging around the eyes, sluggishness and loss of appetite. Septicemia usually occurs along side other diseases, and can result from poor water conditions. There is a high risk of
Dropsy occurring as result of septicemia. (see below)
Treatment: Treat with Maracyn-Two® medication. Isolate the fish. Then call a pet store or ask your vet for information on treatment. It is essential to treat septicemia immediately, or else it is fatal"

What kind of fish is it? What size tank?
Does he have any white fuzzy stuff on his fins?
A major cause of fish disease is improper care. Are you doing weekly water changes? Not over feeding? Is the tank big enough? Warm enough? Are you feeding proper foods?
Look into what your fish required in terms of tank size, temps, food, etc. and make sure everything is okay. If not, the best thing you could do would be to correct any improper care.
Otherwise, try a course if Maracyn-2, it is pretty effective for finrot which your fish may have, and various other common fish afflictions.

I would go to a pet store and in the fish section. There should be an aisle that has "fish medicine" I would read the labels on all of them and find one that fixes your fish's symptoms. Also pet store workers are usually very helpful answering questions and they might know what to use. If it does come down to having to put the fish to sleep, I was told by the pet store to put the fish in a bucket of water and set it outside. The water will get cold and the fish will go to sleep, making it less painless for him. When the water gets cold enough, it will shut down his system. I suppose a freezer would work if you do not have cold weather where you are at.

It could be from the chlorine in the water.I would suggest you get some water ager to kill the chlorine, you only need a drop and you get a happy fish:)
