All Sport cars has more then 400 horse powers and commercial trucks has kind of same amount of horsepower as sports car ... so how come Sport cars has better acceleration then trucks? and more Speed?

its because of the amount of weight theyre designed to move,the type of engine used,and the gearing in the transmission and rear differential.
a commercial truck,even a light duty one can typically tow 5 tons as a starting point,it just ramps up from there.
there engines are designed to produce power at a lower range in the rpm band for torque,and the engine is also built to last alot longer than the typical sportscar engine will.
the transmission gearing starts off very low in order to maximize the torque's pulling power.many times it also is used just to move the weight of the truck itself.the rear differential is also very low (gearing wise) to help maximize pulling power

commercial trucks weigh alot more and there gearing is set up for hauling commercial trucks have a lot more torque. sports cars are made for speed and acceleration not for hauling its all abought the gears
