Well, with Barnyard, that my husband made me go to, it was from about 30 seconds in. When it felt like it was an hour later and it was really 20 minutes, I got quite annoyed, went to the bathroom and started talking to the people that worked at the theatre.

I have alot of patience with movies, so I actually wait until the second act has started before deciding. I never make that decision in the first act or in the prologue.

This all usually takes about 5 to 10 minutes just like you said, so we must be doing the same thing.

I usually give it half an hour. I've gotten better at taking out a movie if it's crap. I have a tendency to want to see things through in the hopes that something really great will happen. That's the very reason I insist on sitting through SNL each week even though I know I'll just end up disappointed.

Within the first 10-20 minutes.

Depends on the movie... 5 minutes if it's on TV. 10-15 minutes in the theater

Though in my old-age I tend to read the reviews first to avoid wasting money... the last movie that I got ripped of on was Pearl Harbor. I wanted to leave in about 20 minutes, but stayed until the end of the attack series.

I like giving every movie I watch a chance, but 20 to 30 minutes in, if I'm not satisfied.....

Definitely in the first 5-10 mins. If at the movie theater decide before half way thru and usually they will refund your money.
