I think that would be considered an obstruction which is not legal.
The word obstruction means it's something in the way of clear view. Boy, some people need to stay in school answerer number four.

you aren't allowed to obstruct your view in the back window in some states, and I don't' think i's allowed on the front anywhere. However, it's a very minor offense and nobody ever enforces it. It also only applies if you seriously hinder your ability to see. So if you left an area you could see through, it would probalby be okay.
and the Side windows are all fair game.
so basically, it's not illegal for normal usage. If you covered your windshield, that might be another story. but most people don't do that anyway.
And remember, the car is private property. Your private property.

It is legal as long as you can still see clearly through your window. So if you cover your window with writing and can no longer see through it, that is definitely illegal but if you just write "Go Team" across the top, you should be alright. If you have any doubt as to what is and isn't legal, it would be best to not write on your windows at all.

Laws vary from state to state. You are more likely to violate laws against obstruction the view of the driver than writing per se. I have heard of cases where people have been cited for public obscenity. That would not apply to 'Go Team'.

Depends on your state. You could check with the state police to be on the safe side. As far as Jeff P saying it is not enforced, in Maine, it is illegal to have anything hanging from the rear view mirror and they do enfore it quite a bit. I have known several people who have been pulled over solely for something hanging from the rear view mirror, and they have been fined.

IT IS ILLEGAL. YOU MAY SEE PEOPLE DO IT (Go Team, EAGLES, and so on)
But don't do it. It blocks your view and will play its part in causing an accident.
And though you may think that you can deal with it, your state would object!
Your parents are right!

If you write it only on side windows. (You cannot write it on the front or back windsheild, or the drivers-side window)

if its your property then it's legal as long as it isn't threatening or anything b/c it's your stuff and obstruction is only when you do it to other peoples property "obstruction of private property or public property" but if it's yours its alright.
