If it makes you feel any better, I too have a bit much body hair, since I was like 9. It made me super self-concious. I never, never wore shorts and wore long sleeves as often as possible. I was always jealous of my younger sister and cousins when we were 12, 13 because the boys in the neighborhood would liked them and never spoke to me. My being so self-concious made me very shy and I would make my sister do all my talking.
When I turned 16, I wanted to get a job. I spent the whole summer searching for a job. I searched all summer into the fall and the winter and into the next spring. I finally landed a job as a cashier at my local pool. The uniform included a thick, dark, dark, dark blue polo shirt. Plus in was during the city's hottest summer, so that meant unless you wanted to suffer a heat stroke, you didn't wear anything except the shirt (no long-sleeved shirt underneath).
We did eventually upgrade to lighter shirts, but it was still hot. So, still no long-sleeves. By the end of the summer, I had befriended a lot of the lifeguards and one of my cousin's friends told me he liked me and wanted to go out with me. Maybe you're not looking for a date, but I think you get the point.
A lot of other people here are saying that you'll grow out it when puberty is over. That's probably true. I don't know exactly when that's going to happen and I don't know how to get rid of it. But I think that what you really need is what to do while you're waiting for that time to come. I don't know if it helps, but I hope that it makes you feel better.

Do nothing!!! YOU are beautiful and everything is as it should be.
Do you know anyone with a new baby ( even one in the mall) look close they have hair just like you. Beautiful!.. !!!
Your going to get more hair, thicker and darker and your mother needs to inform you about it, because it converts you from a girl into a lady.

Im also 12 years old and have had this problem before I had hair a ll over my back! dont care about what ppl think! but just be who u are! But if u dont like that advice u could consider waxing! u better make sure ur mom knows about it though! u could also tell some one in ur family to srub ur back medium hard for 2 minutes every day so some hairs come off evryday! dont scrub too hard or it will really sting! U could also consider shaving! let ur mom do it though! or go to the best place for the job! (A hair solon)

the hair is normal most women have it. you can see it more on some women than others because if you have darker hair you will be able to see it more. do not get it waxed because you will have to wax for the rest of your life. i wouldnt worry about it at all

Did you know that there are only five places on the human body that don't have hair?
âºYour eye lids
âºYour Palms
âºThe bottom of your feet
âºAnd your lips.
Other then those five places, the rest of your body is covered with some sort of hair.
Whether it be noticeable or not.
Your normal, just like everyone else

Just leave them - everyone has them and if its just downy hair youre better leaving it than removing it and making it grow back course . As a poster above says when you're through puberty it'll fade away anyway if you leave it xxx

this has happened to me before. anyway your just going through puberty. its natural. i read some of the other responses and i have never heard of the hair actauly fading or falling off but you should shave it. but this depends on opinion. i shave my underarm, and down there hair becuz it bothers me. it gets real long and it itches! so i shave but then as it grows back, its very irretating. so its your opinion if u should shave or not.

don't wax it! horrible idea! it's just babyhair and you will probably grow out of it soon. if you wax or shave it you will really make it worse bc you'll have to do it for the rest of your life and it will grown in thicker and darker...and you don't want that at all. it'll go away, and if in the worst case it doesnt, in a couple of years you can bleach it and you won't be able to see a thing.
just don't shave it/ wax huge mistake.

If it's baby hair, it's normal, don't worry about it. If it becomes an issue for you (i.e. becomes darker and obvious and makes you feel uncomfortable) then waxing or laser can help.
Seriously though, you are 12, don't worry about it so much.
