at least once a day my cable broadband connection dies and the only way I can fix it is to reset the machine (going to network connections and choosing "repair" doesn't help). what could the problem be and how can i fix it?

you may need a new modem, should that fail then the line crew will have to come out and shoot the system for you. It could be at the pole.

when it cuts off just right hit on ur network icon in taskbar hit on "repair" check ur pc for spyware trojans keyloggers malware .virus clean up da pc
AD-aware - personal
avg antispyware
spybot search and destory
anitspyware blocker
A-squared
spyware doctor
xoftspy
if all clean and it still cut off . go in to network connections and make sure u have only 1 connection i con connected there
any others go and disable them

it might be bad cables.
