Pantomime is interesting. It is the fundamentals to acting, the foundation. Young actors get so caught up in the words. This is a silly approach. Mastering the words is just a skill. The talent is how you interpret the meaning and find the moment. The moment can be transmitted with out the use of words. Now I am not saying that words are worthless but that is not where acting begins. So think of that when you are trying to create something. Keep it simple. Simplicity is wonderful and you don't bog down your audience. You can complicate a scene just by simplifying it if you want. People become dumb founded by just a pantomime of sitting on a park bench or a mime of courting a lover. Don't be cliche but find something basic and human. You only have a few steps so make the most of them by being simple. Try going from one corner of your room to the other expressing emotions just with your body. Experiment with levels, body postures, etc. One of my favorites to teach kids is graffiting a wall with a paint can. Think about the levels, caution, motions, emotions, involved in writing you name on the wall of a bank for example. It's a good one to play with. Good Luck and Keep it Simple.

Mime locking yourself out of your house and having to break in through a window ... you can easily stretch this out to the required number of steps.
