My dad put a load of washing on and filled the drawer with soap powder, not realising that the machine was only set to spin. I adjusted the setting for him, but now the water is flooding out of the soap dispenser drawer and down the front of the machine. I have taken the drawer out and cleaned it but this hasn't made any difference.
Is the hose blocked with the washing powder? or does any 1 know what else could be wrong with it?/how to fix it?

We have reset it and cleaned the filter, but this hasn't made a difference.
Where is the socket?

As others have said, it's probably the delivery pipe from the back of the drawer down to the drum which has got blocked up with powder. Water sluices through the drawer while the machine is washing, so it will overflow from the drawer if the pipe is bunged up. If you can't get at things from the front, check to see if the top of the whole machine is held in place by a few screws. If so, UNPLUG from the electricity, get your Dad (for it was he who caused the problem) to take the top off, and see if that gives better access for rodding out the pipe.
If you can unblock it, re-assemble. Don't use the drawer for the next few washes - bung a cupful of powder in through the door, on top of the washing. This will give a chance for any residue to be washed away from within the pipe, without more powder being sent down the pipe.

I would say that the feed pipe from the soap tray to the machine is blocked with plug of soap. Filling a soap tray is far too much soap for any load you could put in the machine. Without seeing the machine I cant say exactly what to do but you could try pushing something flexible down like a curtain wire. If it was mine I would take the back off and undo the hose and take it out and clean it but I was nearly 40 years in the laundry industry so I have fixed lots of machines

reset the washing machine and try to clean the filter
if this doesnt work - take out the drawer and clean the socket of the drawer.

you may have to run the machine empty, till cleared, iit does sound like blockage, there normally a drain plug someware near bottom but on the front of the machine, like a big plug, you need to turn, have mop handy !!,this may need draining, sometimes there may be something lodged inside, and may just be coincidental, that this happened when it did,try to locate and clear,if all else, dosnt work, you may have to consult brake down man.hope this helps

I dont know...but whatever you choose to do. Whatever the outcome of your situation is, do NOT mix bleach and ammonia.
