Cram steel wool into all the holes in your walls. Figure out where they are getting their water, perhaps a leaky pipe, and cut them off from that supply.

DON'T FEED THEM!
I had mice once. I trapped them. I didn't have any kids to worry about, stepping in a mouse trap. First I used bread for bait and they just stole it. I found out why people use cheese. It's sticky and they will trip the trap trying to get it out.

just place traps all over the place
in the winter my apt, gets mice and i get rid of them by placing glue traps everywhere.since i cant have poison, because of the children.if that dont work, try the wooden traps, they wont escape from those.if its too many, call an exterminator.i had a friend whose house got so full of mice, the exterminator, quit.i mean,i went there,`once and freaked out, because they were all over the place.dont let this happen to you.

Getting a cat, even for a short even as, ought to really help. not in elementary words do they hunt the little suckers, although the scent of the cat discourages mice from coming in. yet i experience the actual situation isn't killing the mice, yet that new ones save coming in. What you want to do is fill each and each and every crevice and crack alongside your walls and floorboards with metal wool. this is truly the in elementary words element mice can not get with the help of. only be careful once you're coping with it. (I reduce my hand quite undesirable even as i replaced into putting it in in my residence, so i ought to signify utilising gloves.) As for catching those you've already, this is not the most humane thanks to bypass, i wager, yet glue traps truly artwork.

use peanut butter on your baited mouse traps.
Smear it on the spring part.
This will work if you have maybe 4 or 5 mice.

I can tell you what not to get, mouse glue strips. They get stuck and make little agonizing mouse cries. Then you have to kill them with your own hands by drowning them in the kitchen sink or something.
