Doom from nuclear fallout from atomic weapons, or doom from using nuclear power plants? Because you do realize the US has several nuclear power plants, right? They're all the rage in France, too. If you're talking weapons, then, yeah, the UN is on it; unfortunately it's pretty worthless.

You should be more worried about some Asian countries having nukes, ie North Korea, doubt Saudi Arabia would use her weapons unlike NK, this is based entirely upon the assumption of reasonableness.

What is so wrong about the middle east having the power to develop nuclear power. They have the same right as we in the U.S. do. And by the way, what gives us the right to have nuclear weapons when we were the only ones in the world to use it. it seems fairly hipocritical to condemn others for what we did. it was surely not peaceful.
In short, we should basically leave them alone, because they just want energy.

Everyone wants the power, fewer want the pain.
Iran is talking about using emp nukes against the US and its allies. Its also open to using such weapons across the middle east. The only way to keep Iran from nuking Israel is for Israel to have nukes.. wait they do. The only way to keep Iran from nuking anyone else is for the whole region to have nukes.

And Israel has some two hundred nuclear warheads, breaking the Non-Proliferation Act, and yet no one sees fit to condemn them.
