Sharing a good bottle of wine around an open fire with loved ones. Appreciating how fortunate you are as you remember that countless millions around the world will spend it in sheer misery, lacking food, shelter , medicine and maybe dodging armed conflict.

I will be on my own on Christmas Eve. I will probably play some of my late partner's favorite Gilbert and Sullivan followed by classical favorites.
Christmas Day will be spent with my Brother and his family . My Nieces and Nephew, Brother and Sister in Law will drive away the melancholy.
Love and a Happy Day to all.

Our family always eats lasagna for dinner. Then we read the Christmas story by the tree and light candles. We always open one gift on Christmas eve as well. Sounds horribly cheesy, but as a kid it was magical.
