How do I ask parents to let me dye hair?

my parents dont even let me paint my nails black...i want to dye my hair a natural reddish brown but i dont think theyll go for it.

sit down and talk to them....i wish i new how old you are....make them a deal like if you get good grades on your report card you can do it or if you do all your chores for a month then you can do it....let them know you really want to try to dye your hair...tell them youll do a tempoary one that lasts 7-10 shampoo's....let them know how you feel

If you are doing all the right things in all other areas of your life, you can use that as leverage when approaching your parent s with the request of hair dye. if they trust you and respect that you are growing and changing and wanting to become your own person, they just might give in to the idea. My daughters also wanted to color their hair. I personally did not mind because hair always grows back and you can always change it back if it does not turn out right. Both of my girls wore black clothing for a while and painted their finger nails black too. Not any more, they are always changing and growing, and I have allowed it to happen, because they are good people and only young once. I hope your mom and dad realize giving in to this will not turn you into someone you are not. It all depends on you.

Let your parents know how mature you can be before you ask them -- that means no whining and begging =) -- and show them that you have the maturity to listen to their opinions. If they don't think that it will look ok with your features, maybe they have a point! Try one of the websites that allow you to input your photo and try different hairstyles and colors, you only have to pay like 10 bucks and you can use it for a year, and print out a picture of you with the desired hair color and let them see it. If you promise to be mature and responsible and show them that you'll pay for the dye yourself and take good care of it, maybe they'll let you dye it. If you can't dye it right now, try a fun new hairstyle and cut and remember that you're beautiful just the way you are. Anyways, good luck!!!

just ask, show them the color you want to use, or ask them to have it done professionally. Explain your reasoning to each and ask them to understand. If they don't the leave it at that, no fits, just tell them you would like to revisit the idea in a couple of months. Then wait and try again if you want to still dye your hair.
No gimmiacks, no tricks, just some up front honesty. Hope it works, if not, they must be pretty strict, or something is not being said here.

Well your only 13, which is still young to be dying your hair. I don't think you should yet. Wait until your a bit older like 16 and then they will let you.

you should ask your parents for a color closer to your natural hair color. And work your way to your favorite. if your parents say no, you'll have to wait until you get out on your own.
