Opera or Firefox... IE is only useful for one thing, windows updates or using the toolbars that don't work on Opera or Firefox. Otherwise IE is not good, not even version 7, better yes, install it for the extra security EVEN IF you don't use it.

Mozilla Firefox. Or IE7.
It really comes down to preference.
