There are all kinds of cheap Sprint PCS phones on eBay. As long as you don't mind taking an older model then you'll be fine. People practically give away the older cheap phones. If you buy a new Sprint phone, you could take it to Verizon and get it activated with them, but only if you got Sprint to give you the unlock code ;-)

I'm looking on eBay right now and I'm seeing several Sprint phones that are going for $15 shipped. Check out this RAD Qualcomm QCP-2700. It's new in the box and you can get it for $16 shipping included.

Yeah, it's old skool, from 1998 or so but hey, retro is in these days, right? ;-) It's only until your plan is up anyway.

I would recommend you switch to Ting phone service! They are a sub company of Sprint and they allow you to bring your sprint phone to their service. They also let you terminate your contract with sprint when switching to their company. But you don't have to have a sprint phone to use this service. I have it for my iPhone 4s, my bill is $20 per month and it is great! The customer service is really good as well, they really try to help you. They are very affordable and have great coverage! When creating your account go here https://zbdjp425t45.ting.com/ to get $25 off of your first bill as a referral. Check it out! Thanks :)
