If you're talking about defending my reputation or wit- I do that on my own!!! I just assume others stay out of it, even if it's a friend attempting to help the situation. If there's something I can't defend, then it wasn't worth defending.
Physically- I'll defend myself or anything I care about...and that includes situations where it may not be the smartest move! I'm a spit-fire kinda girl. lol I will let others help me in defending myself when I need it, but there have been times when I didn't and actually moved them out of the situation.
I think, if you're reffering to situations of sticking up for yourself to others, you should KNOW you're worth defending and not be afraid to step up, open your mouth, and set it straight. Who else is better to speak your mind? No one else can do it for you!

I defend myself, but since I also defend others, those same people defend me as well.
I thank them for it, but I can do it myself.

it depends if im in a situation where im capable of defending myself. if that's the case then ill defend myself. but if its something that in no possible way i could handle it on my own, then im not too boneheaded to let somebody help me.
