I have a stirling silver tea and coffee service. The inside of the teapot is covered with layers of tea stains. How do I clean it?
Also, the creamer has some milk resdue.
Any suggestions?
I love using the set for tea with guests. I'd hate to stop using it.

I personally hate silver because of the upkeep. Here is a site that explains what to do.

Go to just about any store like Target or Walmart and get Tarnex. It is a liquid. It smells horrible, but just pour a little bit inside the teapot and it will take care of the stains.

I was watching Martha Stewart's show a few weeks ago and she was showing how to clean the inside of coffee and /or tea pots. Why not check out her website:[ www.marthastewart.com]
and see what she says. She's really pretty good at almost anything

Try this cleaning cloth. You have to buy in packages of 5 but they are only like $3 bucks a piece. I have ordered them and use them on everything, especially on our silverware and even cleaning windows and clean mirrors. They are made out of tiny fibers. They are guaranteed not to scratch or streak and all you do is rinse the cloth under water, wring it out and wipe ANY surface with no streaks or scratch. Use em over and over. I have not thrown one away yet!
I even waxed my car with it! I am sold on this ...I encourage you to try it out.
