After WWI the territory known as Palestine, comprising present day Jordan, Israel and the area's occupied by the present day Palestinians, was given to the British to administer. The area had been part of the Ottoman empire which collapsed after it's defeat and the Ottoman Turks retreated (and rebuilt the present state of Turkey.)
Before this, in the late 1800's there had been a small scale immigration of European Jews into this largely agrarian land settled for centuries by Arabs. Around this time the concept of Zionism began - the idea that the Jews had a connection with this land from which they had been ejected by the Romans.
Both Arabs and Jews are Semites, a racial sub-group. In the bible Abraham is the father of both tribes - the Israelites (Jews) from his wife Sarah and the Arabs from her handmaiden Hagar. So does religion turn brother against brother.

Palestines are ARABS they took that name during this century-- claiming a long relationship on the land. Actually the major ancient landowners were the Caldeans With some minor groups included. Next came the Jewish early semantic tribes and other giant migrations.
The Arabs are johnnie-come-latelys on the scene--but it was a slick more politically to claim the ancient name Palestine for there own--in a bogus manner.

Hello dear!
Palestinians were in Palestine centuries before the Jews!
They had cities and a great culture. The Jews destroyed most buildings and many cities. Their name then was Philistines.
As mentioned in Talmud and Old Testament, the Philistines were Cretans and they should be killed, as all Greeks! How sad! And this in a religious book!

"Geneticists found that Jews and Palestinians have a fairly recent common ancestry, which supports historical evidence that Palestinians are descended from Jews and Christians who converted after the Islamic conquest in the seventh century C.E."

The Palestinians are Semetic people who did not get their
land in 1948. It is still there for them if the Arab governments will
allow them to have it.
