2-he didnt win the European player of the year so that doesnt make him on top winning either the African or European makes him top nominees for winning the cup therefore Cannavaro is the top

Lets look at this from two sides..1 I will say he is a good player, but his behavior back in July was uncalled for.
2 Do you over look that incident as there has been times before he has lost his temper on the field or do you think it justifies for bad behavior on his part and try to look past that?
Then again there has been other players who have also lost their tempers as well, but would it be fair to them to look past the out of line times on the field and assume automatically that they are disqualified because of it??
Basically my point is he has been known for his outbursts in the land of football, him and other players that may be considered "the player of the year" should all get a fair chance. This also applies to my beautiful Italian team.

yes that head butt totally goes against everything that soccer and FIFA represent - that just showed a grown man that was unable to control his temper which is sad to see especially for young kids who idolize him as their favorite player- FIFA is about having a passion for soccer and supporting your team and celebrating their victories not getting violent over some silly little comment - so in my opinion he should not be considered for the award and it should be awarded to a more respectable player like captain cannavaro <3
