Yes and the main reason is that its ruining the charm of the original series. Its way too over commercialized with all the Ford crap and all the product placement advertisements. Second, the songs they sing on this show suck for the most part and the only good/current ones they use are way over done. Nobody needs to give Barry Manilow or Burt Bacarat any primetime airtime. Check out the summer show Rockstar for some decent music on a reality show, it can be done. Third, the judges comment's are predictable and really stale. Everyone knows Simon's comments are directly influencing the audience vote and the producers use that to their advantage. Fourth, they drag out each episode and round of elimination like we've never watched a reality show before. We all know they won't do the results until the last 30 seconds of the show but yet they continue to waste 30 or 60 minutes of our time with fluff, crap and gimmicks to get the audience to stick around the whole program. And finally I'm completely fed up with the 4 weeks of humiliating auditions showing how bad certain people are at singing and having a big laugh at people's expenses who had hope they could make it on the show. American Idol is no longer a singing competition to find the most talented unsigned young singer and instead its a spectacle driven only to get ratings and advertising dollars.

Yes, very much so. I think they need to stop airing while it's still getting good ratings, because soon people are going to get sick and tired of it and they are going to stop watching.

YES! it's the same thing every year and all of the contestants sing horrible. finally i found someone who agrees with me.
