Your question is interesting to me in that I teach seminars on that subject. A real answer would require volumes, for example, simply discussing the election of 1860 is three hours in my seminar and then that is only focusing on the split in the democratic party and the impact in the North.

The point is, you should be doing your own home work. Asking others to do it for you will not help your education. In addition, if someone does respond it will hurt the economy. There are people out there who will do it for you, but for a price.

In 1860, President Kennedy was elected. The people in South Dakota did not like this so they decided to secede from the union.
They decided to form their own government, hereafter referred to as the "confederacy". The North Dakotans did not appreciate the South Dakotans shopping at the Cumberland Gap, which is where Mr. Kennedy was working when he was elected president.
Oh, and don't forget the Florida Gold rush that started about that same time.

Nancy! Nancy! How I enjoyed your teachings about mid-19th history.
I bet you are a real character.

I do have one thing to add---In 1860 George Washington is noted for taking his wooden carved teeth out and throwing them all the way across the Cumberland Gap!

good such as you suggested it is your opinion. And no person can distinction that or will could distinction that. additionally there is not any "white historic previous month" interior the united states. you could say white individuals are the majority so as that they don't choose one, whether do not say there could properly be one because of the reality that's a lie. and you're suitable that now not sufficient understanding is going to oftentimes used black inventors, warfare heroes, scientists and many others. yet do not say the united states is racist and places white persons as #one million on a Pedestal reason that's effectively now not precise. we've a black president who's beautiful properly to this element and considered as such. I in my view do not care approximately a "white historic previous month" actual i think we are able to could get rid of all historic previous months and have a american historic previous month. And focus on the completed effectual concerns we now have performed as a Society.
