I'm sitting here listening to Ryan Adam's haunting version of "Oh Sally." I'm not sure if it's his song or a cover, or even if it's "Oh Sally" or just "Sally." Is he singing solo or with Whiskeytiown? I'm hooked on it and would like to find the lyrics. Anybody? Thanks!

it is his song, but hasnt been released yet. The lyrics are here

The kitchen radio is on
Sally's tending to the store
Christmas lights out on the lawn
Christmas lights out on the porch
And it's been some ten odd years since then
That her Johnny went to war
Maybe the phone line's just passed up
Maybe the mail is late from the snow

Oh, Sally, oh
Oh, Sally, oh
Oh, Sally, oh
Oh, Sally, oh

Well the kitchen radio is on
Sally's trying hard to sleep
She gets up to a cold cup of decaf, and a
Refrigerated [???]
There's two cars out in the garage
One still runs, and one's for sale
Sometime the just engine starts up
Sally finds herself just sitting there

Oh, Sally, oh
Oh, Sally, oh
Oh, Sally, oh
Oh, Sally, oh

Each year she spends her check
Buying Johnny all these things
And the presents, they just keep piling up
There ain't no more room for the tree
It's some ten odd years since then
That Johnny went to war
No, Johnny ain't never ever coming back
Coming back here anymore

Oh, Sally, oh
Oh, Sally, oh
Oh, Sally, oh
Oh, Sally, oh
Oh, Sally, oh
Oh, Sally, oh
Oh, Sally, oh
Oh, Sally, oh
