I never thought about it until this year and now that it is a month away. I am getting mixed emotions. One minute I don't care the next I start crying. How did other people feel about it?

I'll be 42 later this month...40 was a bit tough for me...I'm not where I'd like to be in Life, but ya know what? Turning 40 beats the alternative (not being alive to have a birthday). When I thought of it that way, and realized I could still make my life what I wanted it to be (within reason) and that Life isn't over, it's just another chapter...it looked a lot better.

Don't mourn what you don't have, celebrate what you do...and the potential to have what you desire.

HAPPY (early) Birthday!

I once had a dear older roommate who told me once you hit 40, be happy, because that is when the real life begins!!

Your old enough to know better, but do it anyway if you can. You have or are close to have raised the kids,. Your sexier! And you know how to work it.

ENJOY IT it's just a number your only as old as you feel.

I sobbed uncontrollably for days. Then I went downtown and stood on the corner of 2nd South and State, and ranted and screamed and shook my fists at people until getting arrested. That was about. I won't bore you with the details about when I turned 50.

I will be 54 this month, and I am glad. So many things have happened in my life, both good and bad, and they made me what I am today. Being born is to die, the length and wonder in your life, barring accidents, is what you make it. Life is not a number, any day you wake up on top of the dirt is a good day!

I'm 13, but turning 40 isn't bad. It's just another year older. Think about it, why is turning older bad? It's good. Would you wanna stay 39 FOREVER? I mean, u stay 39 while all ur friends turn older and stuff.
